Several Millions of Californians qualified for a Covid-19 vaccine shot commencing Monday. Limited supplies affected the states previously as eligible residents had a hard time out in booking their appointments for the vaccine.On Monday, the state sought an expansion to the categories of eligible residents by adding homeless people, transit workers, and most prominently people aged 16 to 64 to the list. The age group of 16 to 64, ” who are deemed to be at the very highest risk for morbidity and mortality from COVID-19.”
The latest phase of the roll-outs of the vaccine adds 4 million to 6 million people to the current list of eligible Californians. Lately, California has experienced a downfall in the Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations. Due to the current scenario, the State allowed 13 more countries to enter the red tier under the US Administration proposal of reopening the business houses in the past two days.
The county could not state as to when it expects to reopen slots for the next set of appointments, as they are already running against time to compel their duties to a handful number of people. The number will depend on supplies provided each week by the Federal government as the situation is becoming a concerning point across the states.
